Visitors bureaus launch new marketing push (Parkersburg News and Sentinel)

PARKERSBURG - Area convention and visitors bureaus are implementing new marketing strategies to attract tourists to the Mid-Ohio Valley this season. Steve Nicely, president of the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, said he is taking advantage of social media outlets and e-mail marketing. "We're working on a Facebook page and doing some more electronic marketing," said Nicely.
